Banyuasin District, as an area with a developed oil palm plantation sector, faces major challenges related to road infrastructure damage and traffic congestion caused by heavy vehicles. These issues impact the safety of road users and the convenience of the community. This activity aims to improve traffic safety, reduce road damage, and improve coordination between plantation companies, local government, and communities. This report presents the results of socialization activities on the use of public roads for palm oil transport operations in Banyuasin District. The main targets of this activity are to educate drivers, find solutions to reduce road damage, and develop action plans and sustainable socialization programs. Methods of implementation include coordination meetings with plantation companies, safety socialization to the community, and campaigns to raise awareness about road use. Politeknik Negeri Sriwijaya, through a team of lecturers from the Civil and Plantation Engineering Study Program, played an active role in organizing this activity by utilizing their expertise in infrastructure development construction and plantation management. Through this effort, it is hoped that the use of public roads in Banyuasin Regency can be more organized, safe, and comfortable for all parties involved. This paper presents an overview of the objectives, methods, and results of the socialization activities conducted.
