Abstrak

Tanjung Jabung Timur in Jambi Province is a center for fisheries production with enormous potential, this area is rich in fisheries resources, especially Kampung Laut Village. The majority of the people in this village work as fishermen, but their catch is often not processed optimally, resulting in low economic value. The main challenges faced are the lack of knowledge and skills in processing the catch, as well as the limited variety of processed products. The socialization activity for alternative processing of fishermen's catches in Kampung Laut Village aims to improve the knowledge and skills of the community in processing fisheries products. The methods used in the socialization include interactive lectures and in-depth discussions on various processed fish products, such as fish crackers, fish candy, fish balls, and fish noodles. The results of this activity showed the high enthusiasm of the participants, with many questions asked regarding processing techniques and marketing strategies. In addition, participants also shared their experiences and challenges faced, creating a productive collaborative atmosphere. With this increase in knowledge, it is hoped that the community can develop high-quality processed products that are able to compete in the market, thereby contributing to improving the local economy and the welfare of the fishing community significantly.
