Abstract

This Community Service activity was conducted in Talang Balai 1 Village, Tanjung Raja Subdistrict, Ogan Ilir Regancy, South Sumatera. The purpose of this activity was to empower a group of poultry farmers in producing low-cholesterol salted duck eggs as a side business to increase income. The material used included loval raw materials such as Pegagan duck eggs, warm water, guava leaves, Mahkota Dewa leaves, and turmeric. The characteristics of the participants showed that they were actively engaged not only by attending the counselling and training sessions but also by actively communicating and discussing the process of making low-cholesterol salted eggs. The participants showed interest in the easy and simple method of producing low-cholesterol salted eggs as a side business. This interest in understandable, given the current difficulty in innovating low-cholesterol salted eggs. With the discovery of this innovation, it is expected to help improve the income of the farmer group. In conclusion, the interest of the farmers in producing low-cholesterol salted eggs is very high and can contribute to increasing family income.
